When will I get my Period after Nexplanon Removal?

It varies from person to person; for some, it may take a few months before their period returns after Nexplanon removal, while for others, they may get their period within a few weeks after having the Nexplanon removed.

The only natural way to get your period back is to wait. However, if your period does not return within three (3) months, it is advisable to consult with your doctor.

In addition, as with all things menstruation, the first period after Nexplanon removal varies from individual to individual. Your period should begin once your hormones have adjusted and you’re ovulating again.

The Nexplanon implant is a long-term birth control method for women as it works as a contraceptive for a period of three (3) years. After three years, it is recommended to either remove or replace the implant, depending on the individual’s desire to conceive or not.
